Welcome to the party!

Begun in 2010 as a platform for Democratic candidates to reach voters at a fun, festive event, the Blue Jamboree has grown into one of the most important annual political events in South Carolina. Described by Charleston’s Post & Courier as “one of the biggest, bluest rallies in the state,” the Blue Jam brings together thousands of Democrats from all parts of South Carolina with live music, candidate stump speeches, delicious food and fun activities for the whole family. This year will be the biggest Blue Jamboree ever, with more slots for presidential candidate speeches and dozens of new activities.

This year's jamboree will be an all-day festival featuring:

  • Unforgettable speeches

  • Live music throughout the day

  • Delicious food trucks

  • Beer and wine

  • Jump castles for the little ones

  • Face painting for kids of all ages

  • New! Blue Jam 2020 Expo

  • Unique 2020 shopping

  • Stunning views of the Ashley River

  • The best selfie spot in SC

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can I bring my pets?
A: Sorry, only certified service animals are allowed at the Blue Jam

Q: What's happening with parking?
A: We have parking next door at Jenkins Orphanage and the church across the street. Shuttles will move people back and forth to The Bend all day long. We strongly encourage carpooling both because it is good to do and because it saves precious parking spaces. We also recommend using a cab or ride share like Uber or Lyft for fastest access to the event by avoiding the shuttles.

Q: Is the event accessible to persons with disabilities or limited mobility?
A: Yes. There is parking on-site at The Bend that is exclusively for use by anyone with a valid handicap placard. We will also have golf carts available to help assist people move around The Bend. Please notify a nearby volunteer (they will all be wearing yellow volunteer shirts) if you require assistance. We also have dedicated covered seating for persons with disabilities or limited mobility.

Q: I bought my ticket, but...
A:
Lots of people's email accounts have moved their tickets into a SPAM or "marketing" folder and it looks like they never got them. First, search for an email with the subject "[ActBlue] Your ticket to '2019 Blue Jamboree'" If you don't find it, look for your receipt from ActBlue for your purchase. If both of these fail to turn up your tickets, send an email to help@charlestondemocrats.com and we will help secure your missing tickets. You can also rest assured that we will have a paper list of all ticket purchases at the entrance on the day of the event, so if you paid for a ticket, we will make sure you get in!

Q: Do I need to print my ticket or can I just show it on my phone?
A:
Save a tree. You can show it on your phone. :)
