Join us as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the 2026 MLK Day Parade in downtown Charleston! Charleston Democrats will be marching in two MLK Day parades on January 19—join us for one or both!

This parade will begin at Burke High School and conclude at Mother Emanuel AME Church, and it will be broadcast live on NBC WCBD News 2. We will line up at 9:00 a.m. at Burke High School, with the parade stepping off promptly at 10:00 a.m.

With schools closed for the holiday, we encourage you to bring your future Democratic voters along to march, celebrate, and honor Dr. King’s enduring legacy with us.
