Every Vote Cast is an Answer to Each Map They Draw

On May 14th at 5:01pm, Governor Henry McMaster called a special session of the South Carolina legislature to redraw our district maps, even though absentee ballots are already in voters' hands.

This is what voter suppression looks like in 2026. Not poll taxes. Not literacy tests. Redrawing maps in a special session 11 days before early voting starts.

The only antidote to suppression is turnout.

The vote hasn't happened yet, but let’s not wait for the outcome. So, here's our ask:

Tell at least three people to vote early, starting May 26. Call, text, email, share this post to your networks, and ask them to forward it on. (An old-fashioned phone tree, if you will.)

Because while they debate maps in Columbia, we'll be organizing in Charleston.

Early voting begins in 10 days on May 26. Visit our VOTE page for candidate information, links to their sites, and everything our community needs to turn out in record numbers.
